The founder of Ship Propulsion Solutions (SPS) is Robert Walsh. He has had 30 years of marine experience and is a Fellow of SNAME and a graduate of Webb Institute and MIT. Walsh is licensed as a Professional Engineer in New York State.
 

Goal:

Ship Propulsion Solutions, LLC (SPS) goal is to improve ship propulsion efficiency, i.e. increase speed and/or reduce fuel consumption.




Mission:

Ship Propulsion Solutions (SPS) implements hydrodynamic, mechanical, and electrical equipment on ocean-going commercial-ships to improve propulsion efficiency, including approaches directed to reduce environmental impact.




Deliverables:

SPS primary equipment supply is stern-appended hydrodynamic energy saving devices which require custom engineering design in order to maximize performance gains. Installations require coordination with ship newbuilding and drydocking schedules.
